About PlayTennisLV

Local coaches. Local kids. Long-term tennis.

We're a small group of coaches who grew up around Lehigh Valley tennis and now run a program for the next wave of players in Allentown, Bethlehem, and everywhere in between.

Why we're here

Tennis is better when everyone gets a real shot at it.

PlayTennisLV started because we wanted a junior program that felt like home — one with clear stages, patient coaching, and a way in for every kid regardless of where they're starting. We meet families where they are and build a path forward that actually makes sense.

We care more about how a player grows over five years than how they look in five weeks. The strokes, the habits, the resilience, the friendships — that's what we're building. Anything else is just a scoreboard.

The Team

The people you'll actually meet on court.

Local coaches, real bios, no marketing-speak. This is who's running your kid's session.

Sarah Lazarchak

Marketing Lead & Developmental Coach

Sarah is the voice you hear from PlayTennisLV between sessions — emails, social posts, updates on what's open and what's next. She's also on court coaching, with the patient, player-centered style that keeps newer juniors coming back.

Developmental Coaches

The coaches you'll see most often on a Monday or Wednesday — week-to-week, kid-to-kid.

Peter Demyan

Peter Demyan

Developmental Coach

Peter brings the structure of a teaching pro and the perspective of a current college coach. He's calm, technical, and great with players who want to know why a shot works the way it does.

Dan Arkans

Dan Arkans

Developmental Coach

Dan is the head boys & girls tennis coach at Bethlehem Catholic, which means he sees junior development from both sides — the player coming up through clinics and the same player a few years later in a match they have to win. That long view shapes how he coaches.

How we coach

Same approach across the staff. No mystery method.

Stages that make sense

Red, Orange, Green, Beginner Yellow, and High Performance each do a specific job. Parents know where to start. Players know what's next.

GreatBase-rooted

Our framework comes from GreatBase Tennis — a shared language for movement, spacing, and decision-making so every coach is teaching from the same playbook.

Players, not products

We use tennis to teach responsibility, resilience, leadership, and respect. The strokes follow. The character is the point.

On the court

A few minutes from a regular week at Oakmont. Nothing staged.
